Ridderbos, Herman N. The Gospel of John: A Theological Commentary. Eerdmans, 1997.

It seems like many people enjoy this commentary, but every singly time I go to it and give it another chance, I always think, "That was a waste. Kostenbergers was more helpful."
MacArthur, John. John. 2 Vols. MacNT. Moody, 2006.

MacArthur's commentaries are so incredibly helpful, I don't even feel the need to really even attempt a review. His commentaries run very much like his sermons, these aren't helpful as far as exegetical work, but are the best resource to help you see his observations and how to possibly preach the text. Get these.
Köstenberger, Andreas J. John [Withdrawn]. BECNT. Baker Academic, 2004.

our church is currently preaching through the Gospel of John, and out of all of the commentaries that I have been using, this is one that I keep going to. If you are going to get only 4 commentaries on John, I'd get this one.
