Ryle's work here is a great read. It's helpful to consider points of contact in preaching to God's people. Ryle could often say it simply, and say it best, and therefore is quotable. I picked it up about half way through Mark, but would have wished to have read the whole thing through. One might consider this more worthy of devotional reading than most of the featherweight stuff floating around today. Weighty preaching from a man greatly used by God.
