The book has an introduction and bibliography for further study. Each letter has its own outline. The commentary text is in the traditional verse by verse format. All comments are based on the NIV text which is included in sections. There are footnotes for further explanation of certain ideas, and important Greek words are explained in the text. The Greek words are shown both in the Greek alphabet and spelled phonetically. This is especially helpful if one hasn’t studied Greek.
There is an appendix in the back of the book that has study and review questions for each of the letters, broken up by sections. These are valuable in preparing a Bible class lesson.
This book will be most valuable to someone who is teaching and is limited in budget and time.
The publisher, College Press, also published the Bible Study Textbook series which is now out of print and can be downloaded for free from the publisher's website in pdf form
