1–3 John: A Commentary in the Wesleyan Tradition

These writings early came to be identified with John, the disciple of the Lord. By the twentieth century, some scholars were hesitant to identify the author as John the apostle but could accept the traditional attribution of these books and the Gospel of John as the same author.
